Practice Drills: Responding to a Simulated Activist Investor Letter
A hands-on drill course for CFOs, finance controllers, corporate development teams, and late-stage founders who may one day open a letter from an activist shareholder. You work through one simulated case end to end: a sample NSE-listed company with a large cash pile, a low-return subsidiary, and a history of related party contracts receives a public letter from a fund holding just over 5 percent. You will read the letter the way a board should, rebuild the activist's valuation math, map the shareholder register to see who actually decides the vote, handle the first 72 hours of disclosure and insider trading controls, and stress-test each demand on its merits. You will then choose a stance, draft the board's reply and investor presentation, prepare for an EGM requisition under the Companies Act, and negotiate a settlement. The course closes with a complete activist response pack.
