Practice Drills: Leading a Mock Large Scale Fraud Investigation Debrief
A leadership drill course for chief compliance officers, forensic practice leaders and senior financial crime investigators who have to stand up in front of a board, a regulator or a lenders' consortium and explain what went wrong in a large fraud. The investigation is already done. Your job is the debrief. You work on one mock case throughout: a fictional listed Indian NBFC where loans were routed through shell borrowers back to promoter entities, a multi-thousand-crore hole that the forensic team has spent months documenting. Every lesson is a drill that produces a piece of the debrief: an audience map, a findings hierarchy built from a long forensic report, an evidence-strength grading for each finding, a loss quantification walk, a board-ready fund flow map, a minute-by-minute audit committee run sheet, scripted responses to pushback, responsibility findings that respect natural justice, separate debrief packs for SEBI, RBI and SFIO, a lenders' consortium briefing under the RBI fraud risk framework, a privilege and LODR disclosure plan, a root cause and control failure map, a remediation tracker and an internal lessons-learned review. The course closes with a full capstone debrief you run end to end and score against a senior panel's rubric. The case, company and every number in it are fictional and illustrative.
